Westworld isn't your typical amusement park. Intended for rich vacationers, the futuristic park allows its visitors to live out their most primal fantasies with the robotic "hosts." However, the robotic hosts have evolved an artificial consciousness that is similar to, yet diverges from, human consciousness. No matter how illicit the fantasy may be, there are no consequences for the park's guests, allowing for any wish to be indulged; but there is a price to be paid.

Westworld - Dove tutto Ã¨ concesso (Westworld) Ã¨ una serie televisiva statunitense ideata da Jonathan Nolan e Lisa Joy per la HBO, basata sul film Il mondo dei robot (1973) diretto da Michael Crichton. Nolan ha diretto l'episodio pilota e figura come produttore esecutivo insieme a Joy, J.J. Abrams e Bryan Burk.

La serie ha debuttato negli Stati Uniti il 2 ottobre 2016 sul canale HBO.

Descritta come "un'oscura odissea sull'alba della coscienza artificiale e sul futuro del peccato", la serie racconta la storia di un avveniristico parco a tema chiamato Westworld.

Trama

Westworld Ã¨ un parco a tema western interamente popolato da androidi sintetici in cui i visitatori possono immergersi completamente e fare qualsiasi cosa essi vogliano, senza preoccuparsi delle conseguenze. Il team di sviluppo degli androidi cerca continuamente di migliorarsi e di renderli sempre piÃ¹ realistici; a tal fine il dottor Robert Ford, direttore creativo del parco, aggiorna gli androidi con delle "fantasie" affinchÃ© essi abbiano un comportamento piÃ¹ umano.
